It's been a long time...I'm on Phase 2 again
So it's been a long time since I've posted. When I hit the 30 pound mark, I somehow managed to lose all momentum and discipline! I think part of it is because in the beginning of the year, I weighed 241. I managed to lose 23 pounds over the course of 7 months before starting HCG and by the end of September, including my HCG losses, I had hit the 50 pound mark. Needless to say, I felt like I was looking so much better that I figured I could stop a few weeks earlier than planned. I gave myself my last injection and followed the diet that day. The next day was crazy busy and I ended up going to dinner with family that night. I had lots of veggies and protein...not phase 2 and showed a gain of 1.5 pounds the next day. I was good on for the next few week although I had to do a steak day twice. At the end of the first week, I was at a party where they were making smores over a campfire. Smores are my FAVORITE! I showed NO self restraint and had quite a few. Amazingly enough, the scale showed only a .2 gain the next morning. I figured "Oh, my body must have already adjusted...I guess I can have sugar and starch now." That day, I went to a birthday party where they were serving pizza, soda, and ice cream. I had all 3. Not a ton like I would have in the olden days, but a little. Boy was I surprised when I stepped on the scale the next day and saw that I had gained 9 pounds!!!!! I didn't even think that was possible. I did a steak day the next day, but it didn't help. I decided right then and there that enough was enough. I was leaving the next day to go out of the country for a week and would be travelling extensively in the states the following week. I decided to make it my goal to maintain at the level of the 9 pound gain...not pretty, but what could I do. For the last 6 weeks, I have maintained at 198ish. When I started this round of Phase 2, I weighed 198.8. After my load days, I weighed 201. I have now been back on track for a week and am down under my lowest weight. Anyway, that's where I've been.
